Step 1:
Blood Collection

A healthcare professional will draw a specific amount of your blood (typically 11ml or 22ml) using a sterile technique.

The blood is collected directly into a specially designed Cellenis PRP tube. This tube contains an anticoagulant to prevent clotting and the proprietary Cellenis separation gel.

Step 2: Centrifugation

The sealed Cellenis PRP tube containing your blood is placed into a calibrated centrifuge.

The centrifuge is then run at a specific speed and for a specific duration (usually around 10 minutes at approximately 1500g). These parameters are crucial for the effective separation of blood components using the Cellenis gel.

Step 4:
PRP Extraction

Following centrifugation, the Cellenis PRP is carefully extracted from the tube using a sterile syringe and needle.

The healthcare professional will carefully aspirate the layer of PRP located above the separation gel, ensuring minimal disturbance of the separated red blood cells below.

Step 3:
Separation

During centrifugation, the different components of your blood are separated based on their density.

The unique Cellenis separation gel forms a distinct barrier within the tube.
